Here’s what I love about Korra’s waterbending: It’s raw. She’s not “pushing and pulling” the water, she’s an ocean during a raging storm. It’s fierce and strong and fantastic.

True, it’s fierce and strong and fantastic.  But the fact that she’s not pushing and pulling the water is a fundamental issue with her bending, which is made mention of in the (leaked) clip.  She’s not feeling the flow of the energy and serving as its guide; she’s forcing it to go where she wants it to go.  Which is great, but it’s not really the point.  I’m so excited for this series, to see Korra grow and embrace the spirituality and maturity of a fully-realized Avatar.
What we had with Aang was the exact inverse—a master Airbender who was well-versed in the spiritual facet of bending, but needed a lot of work with mastering the actual physical skills of the other bending disciplines.  From the little I’ve seen/read about Korra, it’s clear that she and Aang are perfect foils of each other.
This show is going to rock.
